RV roofs

Most RV water damage starts on the roof

Southern California sun breaks down roof sealant and membranes faster than cooler climates. By the time a ceiling stain shows up inside, water has usually been getting into the roof deck, walls or insulation for a while.

We inspect the whole roof — surface, seams, vents, A/C units, skylights and slide seals — to find every leak source, then give you a written estimate before any work begins.

What we do

RV roof services

  • Leak diagnosis & inspectionSurface, seams, vents, A/C units and skylights checked to find every leak source.
  • Re-seal & caulkOld, cracked sealant removed and Dicor or self-leveling lap sealant applied around vents, A/C units, antennas, skylights and caps.
  • EPDM rubber roof repair & replacementPunctures, tears and membrane failure patched, or the full roof replaced. EPDM is the most common roof on Class A motorhomes and travel trailers.
  • TPO roof repair & replacementMembrane repair, seam welding and full replacement. TPO is more heat- and puncture-resistant.
  • Fiberglass & aluminum roofsCracks, holes and delamination repaired on fiberglass; panels patched or replaced on older aluminum roofs.
  • Water damage restorationRotted decking, wall panels and insulation repaired — structural restoration, not just a surface fix.

Questions

RV roof questions

How often should an RV roof be inspected?

At least every 12 months, and after strong wind, falling branches or debris. In Southern California, UV breaks down sealant 2–3 times faster than in cooler climates.

Is the fall roof inspection really free?

Yes — a full roof inspection is free with any fall service. Book your free roof inspection.

What causes RV delamination?

Usually water getting in through a roof leak or failed sealant. We repair both the source of the leak and the structural damage it caused.

Can I re-seal my RV roof myself?

We don’t recommend it. Sealant applied over old or dirty sealant can trap moisture, void warranties and hide damage that keeps spreading.

EPDM or TPO — which roof is better?

Both are common and reliable. TPO is more heat- and puncture-resistant. We recommend a material after inspecting your RV, based on its make and model.

Does insurance cover roof damage?

Storm, hail and falling-branch damage is often covered, fully or partly, depending on your policy. We document the damage and work with your adjuster.

Can you add solar while the roof is open?

Yes — it’s a smart time to do it. See lithium, solar and inverter upgrades.
