Mobile RV techs are convenient for some jobs. Others really need a shop — lifts, indoor bays, parts on hand and room to work. Here’s how to tell which is which.
Jobs that can work on-site
- Simple appliance diagnostics
- Battery swaps
- Minor electrical troubleshooting
- Small sealant touch-ups in good weather
Jobs that belong in a shop
- Roof repair and replacement — weather and access matter
- Collision, fiberglass and paint
- Brakes, bearings, axles and suspension
- Engine and transmission work
- Slide-out repairs
- Anything needing parts you don’t want to wait for
The middle ground: pickup and delivery
If driving the RV in is the problem, pickup and delivery gives you shop-quality work without the trip. At El Toro RV Service, pickup and delivery is free within about 10 miles of our Orange shop, with some limits on fifth wheels and travel trailers. See pickup and delivery.
